The best part of computer science is creatively solving society's challenges. I coded the first family travel chatbot and am now working on a chatbot prototype that will help identify dementia in elderly populations.

Octa: The world’s first family travel chatbot

A few years ago, I coded the travel chatbot Octa to helps families find the most fun places to visit and interesting things to do on holidays in cities all over the world.

Just tell Octa where you're going and she'll provide you with attractions, events, restaurants, fun facts, tips from cool kids, and much much more!

JOY: AN AI chatbot for healthy aging

Based on my research with the N.1 Lab at the National University of Singapore, I’m working on a prototype chatbot that senior citizens can converse with to help healthcare providers assess if they have dementia.

Joy will analyse language (linguistics) and speech (acoustics) impairments by using AI to detect if seniors exhibit signs of dementia such as Alzheimer's Disease.

In the long run, I plan to make Joy a healthy aging assistant that can non-invasively detect diseases and promote longevity through preventative care.
